Mentoring Coaches

The Mentor Family is blessed to have such an incredible group of successful and inspiring coaches to touch our student’s lives every day. They not only train and advise as full-time real estate investors themselves, but they truly care about each student in our family, and spend time getting to know you thru the time they spend guiding and training each person on their deals all the way to the bank.

Thank you Coaches!

Stephen Wilklow, Commercial Coach
Stephen is a full-time real estate investor whose passion lies in meeting new people and presenting everyone with unique real estate investment opportunities. Stephen came from a corporate sales background, including companies such as Frontrange Solutions and AT & T Wireless, ensured his mastery of negotiation skills and a premium 6 figure salary for working 80-100 hour weeks for someone elses retirement. After being involved in real estate as a sideline project for five years, he left Corporate America in 2003 to pursue real estate full-time with the help of Peter Conti and the Mentorship Program. After hundreds of single family home deals under his belt, he became a Coach for MFG. He now concentrates his portfolio on property acquisition and land development. Additionally, he coaches the commercial mentoring students and is a national trainer and speaker.

Rob Powell, Commercial Coach
Rob was once a "corporate road warrior" that traveled 90% of the time and lived out of a suitcase. Then....he read a book.....Rich Dad Poor Dad....by the famous Robert Kiyosaki. This book has changed many lives....including Rob’s. After that, he was ready to take action in Real Estate so he searched for the right book to get him started. The next book he read has changed his financial life forever.....Making Big Money Investing In Real Estate Without Tenants, Banks or Rehab Projects. Rob joined the mentorship program and now coaches for the Commercial Mentoring Program. He enjoys building relationships first. When you get coached by Rob, he wants to know you and get to know who you are. Now Rob’s real estate experience includes ownership of a property management company, real estate investment company, commercial shopping centers, manufactured housing communities, storage yard, several acres of commercial land, several residential homes, multi-units, and large parcels of land in both Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Rob has now accumulated Over 500,000 sq.ft. of retail commercial and industrial/manufacturing space, Over 1,000 acres of land in Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico, Over 300 residential units and now sits well Over 35 Million dollars in assets.

Peter Harris, Commercial Coach
Peter has teamed up with Peter Conti to help lead the Commercial Mentoring Program. Peter started out in single family homes and ‘exchanged up’ into commercial investments to increase his cashflow and leave his corporate job. Peter has mastered the art of raising capital, and teaches our mentoring students how to successfully use someone elses money to fund their deals. Peter is a best selling Author and long-time real estate investing mentor. Peter has also toured with Robert Kiyosaki and co-created an audio business course with Donald Trump called the Three Master Secrets of Real Estate Success.

Cleve Schenck, Commercial Coach
Cleve bought his first property with no money down in 1982. Continued to buy and sell over 20 Million dollars in real estate by 1986 and accumulated millions of dollars in property and debt by doing a lot of fix and flip house renovations, buying apartment buildings and anything else he could get his hands on. Real Estate slowed in the late 80’s. The 90’s where great. Economy was great. Real Estate was great. Everything appreciated. Cleve aquired an Athletic Club and concentrated on land development and larger cash flow oriented investment real estate projects. In the year 2000, Cleve shifted his emphasis from land developing to construction/development as well as cash flow oriented real investment real estate like office buildings. As the economy and market slow, Cleve continues to prosper, building net worth and cash flow.

Juli Butler, Residential Coach
Juli was running her own business (owned a job) and a client walked in and said, “you have to read this book”. It was Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. It looked interesting so I picked up a copy and started down the path of Real Estate investing. Juli ended up making a lot of mistakes, and had a house she couldn’t sell. Someone gave her a copy of Peter’s book ‘How To Create Multiple Streams of Income’, and suggested selling her house on a Lease Option. Juli read the book, and sold her house thru the lease option method. One of her friends also read Peter’s book, and they decided to go after the mentorship program together. ‘I was relieved when I met Peter because I could tell he had a lot of integrity and I knew I had the right mentor’ said Juli. Since doing the Intensive Training, I have purchased several houses, most of them using no money of my own, and was able to create over $400,000 in equity in less than 2 years working part-time. I have since left my job, moved to the desert and am investing full time. Juli currently owns 7 apartment buildings, 27 single family houses, 1 retail strip center and is involved in several Real Estate PPM's. Juli’s assets are currently valued at about $15 Million.

Emily Cressey, Residential & Commercial Coach
Emily is a real estate investor and entrepreneur who has been interested in finance since age 6 when she first saw the bank paying her interest on her passbook savings. In High School she started the first ‘stock investment club’. In college, she created a successful computer consulting company from scratch, and bought her first investment house with the help of the Mentorship Program at age 24. In the beginning, Emily was scared. She had to build confidence in herself. How could a 23 year old be taken seriously as an investor? ‘I found that with Peter’s scripts, I knew exactly what to say on the phone and in person. I knew exactly what to put in each blank of the contract, and I began to gain a confidence, a level of expertise that really helped me put sellers at ease, structure win-win deals and feel good that I was acting with integrity and WOULD be able to perform on my promises to the seller’ said Emily. Years and deals later, she’s still learning, still expanding her comfort zone, but from the perspective of a successful Mentorship Student and Coach. No longer that scared little person. ‘I KNOW it can work for me, because I’ve done it, and I KNOW it can work for you, too. All you have to do is try and keep trying. You will want to stop at least 3 times before you get your first deal, but every time, if you just put one foot in front of the other, holding steady to your course, you will get through the rough patch and persevere UNTIL you reach your aims’. Now Emily has expanded her investing beyond just her single family home portfolio, she is also investing in raw land, apartments and office space and is a national Real Estate and Wealth Coach for professionals around the country. Emily is currently helping to lead the ‘Team Goldmine’ group of students thru Peter’s Land Development Challenge.

Jeff Carter, Commercial Coach
Jeff is a Land Acquisition Specialist, Mentor & Coach
Jeff has in excess 20 years business ownership and real estate investing experience. His specialty is finding under-valued real estate opportunities. His current business ventures include residential foreclosure, 140-lot subdivision, rental properties and Sonador Land & Development Group. Prior to going full time into real estate ventures, Jeff was the founder of Carter Air Balance Co. which was started in 1985, grew to 15 employees and had revenues in excess of $1,500,000.00. Jeff retired from Carter Air Balance Co. in 2004 to expand his real estate knowledge and fully engage in building his real estate portfolio. Jeff is currently helping to lead the ‘Team Goldmine’ group of students thru Peter’s Land Development Challenge.

Cheryl Hastings, Residential Coach (Discussion Board Coach) is one of the first 3 original students mentored directly by Peter over 9 years ago. Cheryl is our only part time investing coach. Cheryl is a stay-at-home mom and has her realtors liscense. She started with Fix and flips, and learned how to invest smarter with Peter’s methods. She honestly feels if she can do this, anyone can do this!! Her oldest son got excited watching how easy the process was for Cheryl to sign up deals. He did his first property at 17 years of age thru the help of the Mentorship Program.

Dave Greig, Junior Residential Coach

Dave was born & raised in a small town in north-western Canada. I was going to be a teacher, but I happened to read Rich Dad, Poor Dad and came to the realization that I would be jumping on the rat-race treadmill. I got my real estate agent license and entered into the world of rehabbing. Prior to MFG, I entered another guru's program, and I'm glad I did because it got me started and I did my first rehab; but I didn't continue with them because their focus and methods didn't sit well with me. I had read one of Peter's books and decided to call the 800# to see what they offered. Since joining the Mentor Family, I have been blessed with a vast amount of learning plus, even more importantly, a great opportunity to network with other MFG people.

It took 7 months to get my first deal, but the training and encouragement along the way were great. My encouragement to you is that, yes, you can do this. I’m just a regular person who has a drive to find financial freedom for my family, and help other students do the same.

Matt Pitcher, Residential Coach
Matt is the proud owner of a multi-million dollar property portfolio including a mix of commercial buildings, multi-family apartment complexes, residential family homes, a community retail shopping center and land. Investing full time since 2004, graduated from the Mentor Family residential mentoring program and joined the commercial program in 2006. Flew past both stages and became a coach in 2007.

Deb McMillan, Residential Coach, 'The Short Sale Closer aka The Short Sale Queen'. Deb is the past President of OREIA and Cincinnati REIA, 4 year Director on the National REIA Board, and met Peter Conti over 9 years ago. Deb's been investing for over 20 years, and now, short sales are just about the only way she buys houses - helping the seller by saving their credit and buying their house via short sale BEFORE the foreclosure sale! Deb has closed hundreds of short sale deals, getting hundreds of thousands of dollars discounted from properties BEFORE they went to sheriff sale! She'll tell you how to talk with the banks and get hundreds of thousands of dollars discounted from your deals so you'll put more CASH and more EQUITY in your portfolio to reach your financial dreams BEFORE you know it!

Phil Pustejovsky, Residential Coach and Short Sale Mentor, After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in mechnical engineering, Phil chose to focus on the limitless world of real estate investing instead of accepting a safe corporate job. With the help of his great mentor, Tom, Phil negotiated hundreds and hundreds of short sales and acquired a large portfolio of properties using conventional financing, “subject to” and lease purchase option techniques in less than 6 years.
With their combined experiences, Tom and Phil developed a revolutionary program for helping people from all walks of life create their fortune through short sales, called Short Sales Step By Step and it has been transforming the lives of their students ever since. Remarkably, with all the demands of coaching students and speaking across the country, Phil still finds time to personally invest in residential deals each week. His commitment to leading by example shows by his continued investing alongside with his students.
Phil brings a tremendous amount of passion to his vocation (as he calls it) and he absolutely loves what he does. Many consider him to be a true pioneer in the field of short sales.
